”This is the first review where I’ve given an excellent rating for every category. We really having a peaceful day then going on a walk for a couple hours hours the next day. Lots to see and do in the surrounding area.”

”Enjoyed the weekend at Wauchope Cottage. Perfect location to explore the coast and Galloway forest area of SW Scotland. House is super clean and much more room than we expected. The grounds are gorgeous and we loved walking around. It would be nice if there was an opportunity to visit the castle to see the inside. This is a fairly remote property, so be prepared to drive to anything you need. But so quiet and peaceful.”

”Beautiful location with lovely, comfortable accomodation. The night staff were very friendly, accomodation and helpful on our arrival. We felt very welcome. However the day time reception staff were quite abrupt and rude not only to us but we watched a few other guests get 'told off' for petty things. Was rather unfortunate to witness. It spoilt the mood immediately. The lounge area was so relaxing with gorgeous views. The pool area was nice and clean but the floors are quite smooth and slippy!”

”Very pleased with the size of the rooms . The lounge had enough seating for all of our party (11) and the large dining table was excellent. The bedrooms were roomy, including a couch as well as beds. The only downside was the 3 bathrooms were some distance away. A toilet at either end would have been more practical. The kitchen was rather small but well equipped.”

”Absolutely brilliant cottage in a lovely setting hot tub and all indoor facilities more than met the needs of our 3 day stay. Kids were over the moon at the outdoor space in particular the hot tub.”

”The property looks small from the outside, however, it’s surprisingly spacious inside. A very comfortable bed, with all the kit you could need in the kitchen once the hidden drawer is located. The summer house and garden on the other side of the very quiet road are a delight, we loved coming back and sitting out with a glass or two. Would highly recommend……….”

”I came with my family from Switzerland to go to a wedding at Turnberry. The cottage was ideal situation for that and for exploring the surrounding area. Clean, comfortable, warm and well equipped accommodation. Would highly recommend.”
