”Clean and convenient”

”The hotel was lovely and I was happy with my stay. I really enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi and thought it was very well-maintained. However, I woke up covered in bed bug bites. I was very surprised as the room seemed very clean but over the course of the next couple of days 40 or so bites appeared. I reported this to the hotel and was told they would check the room and follow-up. I emailed the hotel but got no reply. I am obviously worried that I will bring this issue back home. I would...

”Amazing setting and beautiful grounds Great place for wedding celebrations However the rooms were rather small with limited facilities for the price paid. Breakfast times restricted to 8-10 , would extend to accommodate guests’needs. Also a bit disappointing you had to pay a supplement to have half of the items on the menu”

”We stayed in an Executive run which was well maintained and spacious if a little dated. Bathroom had been updated but corners had been cut like an old siding on the bath. Air con worked well and the room was quiet overnight. Breakfast wasn’t great. Limited choices and the eggs were terrible both scrambled and fried, but it was only £10 each. ”Moths in room”

”The hotel is nice. The hotel pub is the same. And the staff is polite. The coffee machine DID NOT WORK in the room. You couldn’t even put the mug (from the hotel room not my personal one) to pour coffee in it because it is too big. In the room there are no sockets. I wanted to charge my laptop and other devices, I didn’t have where. There are two “sockets” on one side and the other of the bed STRICTLY for phone cables. Meaning you insert the cable directly. ”The rooms were really clean, and the staff was amazing. They were helpful and attentive to anything that I needed. The food, oh my, the food - so, so good. Over the course of a week, I had the fish & chips, the burger, a chicken Caesar salad, and multiple variations of the eggs Benedict. There were no spare pillows in the room (I don't want to have to ask), no toilet brush in the rest room which is fine if maid service makes a good job of cleaning the toilet; which they didn't. ”It’s decent, needs a bit of maintenance work. Our room wasn’t super clean, bits in the bath and the cupboards had black marks on them. Hallways smelled a little of manure … The drinks were expensive too… Half the spa facilities were not working… Otherwise, the peacocks are a nice touch and the landscaping is beautiful.
