âThe staff were friendly and welcoming. The room we stayed had a great view of the ocean. The bathroom was clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable. The restaurant was elegant yet comfortable. The food was delicious, especially the tallow potato wedges and the steak. They cooked it well-done all the way through, as I had ordered. The surrounding grounds were beautiful and peaceful. â

âBeautiful room with a lovely view to the Portree harbour. Close to everything (shops, pubs) and convenient location for exploring the area. I have no experience communucating with the staff, but they seemed to be easily reachable if I had needed something. Walls were really thin though, could hear everything from the room next door, but I didnât mind that. â

âThe cottage was just a pictured - quaint, well appointed, cozy, and quite. Our hostess was very pleasant, providing us a warm welcome and suggestions for dining and visits.
We wanted to be a bit out of the way as we visited the Isle of Skye and this location/cottage checked all boxes. âSmall family owned hotel. Located in a remote location, so very peaceful and quiet.
In the evening there is a nice fireplace in the lounge. Perfect for a quick pre or post dinner hangout on a chilly night.
Drive to the hotel is filled with scenic views of the water, rolling hills dotted with grazing sheep!
Rooms were large with modern bathroom facilities including the best towels we have experienced in a while!

âBeautiful location halfway between Portree and Uig, perfect for exploring the Trotternish peninsula. The premises are spotless and in excellent condition. The hosts were very accommodating and personable. Breakfast was delicious. Note: if you do not have a car, transportation could be tricky. Nearest restaurants are 20 minutes away by vehicle. Would stay again. Highly recommend Loch Eyre House!â
