”Friendly staff, clean tidy room and very comfortable. Breakfast was great.”

”The shower was leaking water in 4 places and difficult to operate. Water ended up going everywhere. The shower was extremely high to step up into. My other coworkers commented on this for their rooms too. The room was never cleaned or freshened up in a Mon- Fri stay. They kept asking for tips at the bar even for one drink?”

”We loved the well kept hotel. The garden is manicured and gorgeous! We ate at the restaurant and the meal was tasty and nice. We also watched live sports at the pub. Staff was very attentive in both and accommodating. I’d highly recommend staying at the hotel if you’re visiting the beautiful Cotswolds. ”

”We had to be in Oxfordshire for the funeral of a very special friend and came across the Red Lion in our search for accommodation for a couple of days. Our experience was excellent - the room was fine and very comfortable and the kitchen provided excellent menus. But the main comment is how brilliant your staff were - they made our visit so much more agreeable than it might have been.”

”Love this little gem of a hotel. Quirky and all the rooms are very different but always comfortable. Staff are always very helpful and welcoming and breakfast and wifi is included which is a nice touch at this price range. Don't expect 5* or a perfectly maintained hotel but you will have a comfortable and great value stay in a nice location with plenty of free parking. ”

”Easy parking, great breakfast, friendly and accommodating staff. On site restaurant with good menu options, great tasting food. Only downside shower has fixed head would prefer handset option. Great stay will definitely return.”

”Super cute, like being in your own romantic little bubble in the countryside. We came to watch a friend do a parachute jump at the airfield for charity. It was the perfect place to stay for a night or two. Loved the BBQ, the view through the windows and the way the space was designed. So compact and yet everything was so considered and well designed. ”

”This property is in a quiet village and the local views are stunning. My only criticism is the lack of electronic device charging ports. Many pubs are switching at least the bedside power receptacles to the ones with built in usb ports. Other than this small inconvenience it was perfect ”

”The hotel, staff, location and food could not be faulted. We were visiting friends who had moved to the village and they recommended us to stay at The Heyford. We are DEFINITELY coming back.
