”The property was fine, could do with a repaint and maybe new carpets as it’s dated. But staff were lovely and food was nice There wasn’t many plug sockets in the room so we had to take turns in using the only socket available”

One of the best stays I have ever had in the UK other than those over £300 per night (not often) and this was a third of that price. ”

”I booked two rooms as a last minute stay. Immediately on bookimg I had two phone calls that I missed as I was in my way to the accommodation. I then received a text message to tell me they could not accommodate my booking and to cancel. I was adviced by Expedia not to cancel as this would be against the cancellation policy - I am still trying to get a refund and will probably have to esculate the process”

”Generally the rooms are to a high standard. The breakfasts are excellent, and the staff really friendly. Easy car parking. Only quibble is that we tried to book another 2 day stay, the system didn’t allow this - wanted 3 or more: this may vary with time of year.”

”Staff excellent, room very small no chair or even room for bags. Wifi in room also poor. Bar food and service excellent and the welcome pack and light breakfast choice good. Clean but the building is ageing. The steps to the rooms really need to be illuminated or there will be a fall”

Attention pour les non- anglophones, si vous avez déjà payé votre réservation, n’hésitez pas à insister pour bien faire comprendre que la chambre a été payée.”

”You pretty much get what you pay for. £4.50 to park overnight isn’t right in my opinion. Service and staff excellent Food average Rooms are clean very basic and drab really needs a make over.carpets worn bedding cheap quality. Breakfast was poor with poor quality ingredients. Seems like I’m slating this hotel I’m not I’m being honest..I’m not complaining as £80 with breakfast you can’t really complain.To lay your head it’s good because the cleanliness and staff are excellent ”
