”Basic normal rooms. Room service was disaster. Recommend to avoid it. Took time and you can get better prepared food everywhere. Location and the hotel itself is beautiful. Nice walks around the hotel area.”

”Staff where very friendly, but it was a maze to get to the room, clearer signs need to be put up to direct people to their rooms. Due to warm weather it would have been ideal for the rooms to have A/C”

”It was very disappointing, we arrived midday and there was only one waiter in the bar trying to serve drinks for everyone in the bar, restaurant and around the outdoor pool. He was also taking orders for food and serving the food. He really was doing his best and could only keep apologising. To make things worse there was only one person in the kitchen!! ”While the Hotel is in a super location it is in need of updating. There was no drawers in the room to put clothes in and room157 had water dripping from a light fitting in the bathroom. This has obviously happened for some time as there was staining on that part of the ceiling. I reported this to reception as we checked out. There was no lu brush and we had to ask for another toilet roll as only one half used was provided. The food was average. Not somewhere we would stay again”

”The standard double room was much smaller than expected, and the bed was two singles pushed together with a thin double topper, which made the bed very uncomfortable and lumpy. We told reception after the first night and they arranged for a better topper to be put on. If the standard double was this small then the small double must have been tiny. ”I highly recommend this hotel. Very friendly and professional staff. Every member of staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. An excellent choice of breakfasts included in the price. The restaurant was excellent in the evenings. The location is fantastic with wonderful views of the beautiful Peak countryside.”
