”Lovely clean room, and comfortable bed. The bar area was nice with a lot of choice. We ate at the restaurant- food was lovely but the service was poor. After we had our starter, it took over an hour for our mains to arrive. Nobody came to check on us or apologise for the delay. I had to grab a passing barman to ask for more drinks and after being there an hour and a quarter, chase up our mains. Such a shame because the food was very tasty but I wouldn’t eat there again ”

”Firstly, I didn’t make use of the ‘amenities’. I was visiting parents who had moved house so this was literally a place to rest my head. That being said, the restaurant staff were lovely as I arrived late when l they were finishing shift so helped me find keys and get in. The room was decent - comfortable bed, shower and separate toilet. The only gripe I had was that the toilet light was on a timer so when cleaning teeth/washing face etc light would go off after 15s or so. Would definitely...

”There was only one member of staff there over our 2 day stay & she was really nice and helpful (she seemed to be covering reception, housekeeping & kitchen). Got to say all the public areas could do with a good hoover and the skylight in our room was covered in green algae. Our room was clean (apart from the skylights) but small. Breakfast was really poor for the price we paid. Hotel in general needs a good update as has loads of potential.”

”The majority of golfers arrive for the day and do not stay overnight. The result being after 9pm, the lodge is very quiet. For some that will be a like or dislike. I stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed my stay with no complaints. All the staff I met were helpful and friendly.”
