”We hebben een hele fijne week gehad in een comfortabel en sfeervol huis. Royaal verblijf op groot perceel grond, prachtige bosrijke en zeer rustige omgeving. Douro ligt ongeveer 500 meter lager, vanuit huis niet zichtbaar. Van zwembad geen gebruik gemaakt, omdat het een behoorlijk stuk afdalen en klimmen was. Dourovallei is prachtig. Veel moois in de omgeving te zien. Auto is een must.”

”We spent a lovely week at Casa do Vimieiro. We were 2 couples, and the house was spacious comfortable, and clean. Susana responded to queries very promptly. The countryside is beautiful. My only caution is that driving in the area is not for the faint of heart. Also, people with mobility issues should avoid the house as there are many stairs and uneven steps going into the property. ”The house is a beautifully redone schist structure in the center of Talasnal. All the comforts of home; nicely stocked kitchen, great fireplace (heated the whole house), comfortable beds, and nice hot showers. Great hikes just walking out the front door…although we did get lost the first day. Haha. Both Joao and Alda were super responsive and so helpful. Even offering to pick us up in Candal after our very long misplaced hike. Definitely purchase any supplies before arriving as the tiny Mercado...

Nos hicieron pensar que esa era la que habíamos alquilado y como tuvimos problemas con los datos móviles, no pudimos verificarlo hasta pasados unos 4 días. Una vez pudimos cerciorarnos de lo que habíamos alquilado, ya no teníamos ninguna duda. La casa que alquilamos tenía aire acondicionado y Wifi, pero en la que estábamos alojados no había nada de eso. ”Fernado & Amelia were very welcoming and had generously left a welcome gift pack. We were given lots of information about services & things to do in the area. The outdoor living space with bbq & outdoor sink and plenty of charcoal together with the pool greatly enhanced our stay in early July. The only downside was there was no airconditioning (our error not noticing when booking) as in the 1st week temperatures were up to 40 degrees but fans were provided. A lovely peaceful setting.”

The house itself was spotlessly clean, the pool and view was amazing and the house, including the kitchen, fully equipped with everything we needed for our stay. There was lots of room for everyone in our group and each bedroom having its own bathroom was a big plus. We didn’t want to leave at the end of our stay and would not hesitate to return again!”
