”It’s a really cute place to stay. Beautiful views and garden with a lovely canal side walk nearby. Nicely designed inside and Steve, the owner, is incredibly friendly and helpful. Would have liked to have been able to stay longer.”

”The majority of golfers arrive for the day and do not stay overnight. The result being after 9pm, the lodge is very quiet. For some that will be a like or dislike. I stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed my stay with no complaints. All the staff I met were helpful and friendly.”

”The staff at The Bear Inn are terrific: it’s a family-run business and nothing was too much trouble. You soon will get to know everyone’s name a they will remember yours; it’s the little things that set a small country Inn apart from the bigger and soulless enterprises. Check-in was easy and, although we originally planned to stay for a couple of days, we were made so welcome, decided to stay for two more. ”Basic normal rooms. Room service was disaster. Recommend to avoid it. Took time and you can get better prepared food everywhere. Location and the hotel itself is beautiful. Nice walks around the hotel area.”
