Great space for friends and families

The property is exactly as described, big living room space, very clean, every bedroom has its own bathroom! We like that it is in close proximity to many restaurants in and around Berkeley Spring. The check-in and check-out processes are really easy.

The pictures do not do this cabin justice

This was a five lady trip for us to get away from the husbands and the kids. We picked this place because of its affordability and due to the fact that everybody got their own bathroom. It was gorgeous with lots of room and the kitchen is very well stocked and clean. The only thing we would change is some sort of privacy glass or filter put in the upstairs open windows for the loft.

Weekend Away with Friends

We were 4 couples in our 50’s and early 60’s. We love to laugh, eat, drink and okay cards. We had a wonderful, relaxing weekend away. The home was beautiful, exactly as described. We enjoyed our time at the house as well as downtown Berkeley Springs.

Great place!

Just as advertised. Lots of bed and bathrooms and a great view of the fall foliage from the great room. Appliances worked well as did the heat. Good place for an old friends weekend. The driveway was a little challenging but if your car has a back-up camera, shouldn't be a problem.

Great Location!

I loved staying at Healing House. There was plenty of room in the kitchen with every available tool/utensil needed. Having a bathroom for each of the 5 bedrooms is amazing. Plenty of space to hangout on both levels. We would definitely stay here again!!! I’m glad I read other reviews before staying. The “loft” room with a king size bed has two large windows with no covering or glass, but does have a door. Any guests staying upstairs may have issue with noise at night or in the morning. We managed to be quiet so it wasn’t a huge issue.

Lovely house with lots of space for a girls weekend

Stayed here with 4 other college friends. There was a bedroom and bathroom for each person, which was great. The kitchen and great room are really nice. These spaces are comfortable, clean, and attractive. The bathrooms could be nicer, most are on the older side. I would also recommend new pillows. The beds were comfortable, the company was very responsive, and the kitchen is well stocked. A TV upstairs would be nice. There is a small family room in the lower level which would be great for kids. We enjoyed our stay very much.

We loved the layout of the home. For our needs, it was perfect.We had a few issues/items that we thought we would bring up. We believe the spigots for the showers/tubs and sinks downstairs need replaced. We DID NOT like the parking. With a house that large, you would think that there would be more parking, level parking and wider parking. It was challenging, to say the least. The first hall bathroom, when coming in the door, to the right, was NOT cleaned. We had to clean the toilet. Also, the refrigerator doors were very sticky, so we cleaned those also. All other areas appeared clean. We were not fans of the decor. It seems to be a more "wild/eccentric" theme than a calming, healing decor.We will probably book again for next year.

Lovely house, well stocked

We really enjoyed our stay at the house for a ski weekend. The main room and the kitchen were absolutely lovely - just such a nice place to relax and hang with the family. The rooms were all nice, except that one of the kings is in the loft without a door and facing the living room. Otherwise the downstairs area for the kids was perfect - away from us so we could sleep and they could hang out playing air hockey and games downstairs outside the 2 rooms. The best part might have been the kitchen - we kept commenting how we found everything there! So easy to make dinners when you have all the right stuff! Would def come back again.

Girl's Getaway for 50th Birthday celebration

The Healing House was a beautiful home to celebrate a dear friends 50th/girls weekend getaway! With the 5 en suite bedrooms, we all had our own sanctuary to rest and relax and the common areas were awesome for being together! The open concept Living room/dining room/kitchen were so conducive for playing games and chatting one was in the kitchen cooking, one was in the living room knitting, two of us were playing games at the dining room table, while one was downstairs taking a nap, something she never gets to do at home, being a full time mom and wife! We loved this house and look forward for another girls weekend next year!!

Beautiful home!

The house was beautiful. There is no turn around in the driveway but it did fit 4 cars. We had to back out but it was not difficult at all. The bedroom in the loft has a door. There are two "windows" that overlook the living room but does not have glass. You could not see in the room from the living room. I would not report this as a negative. We had 5 couples (5 sisters with spouses) and the house was perfect. There was plenty of seating in the living room and also downstairs in the game room. Kitchen had everything we needed. It was conveniently located close to downtown Berkelely Springs which made it nice. The only complaint is the hot water tank. It was very small for a large house. After a few people showered we ran out of hot water. But even with that I would definitely stay there again!

Great location for a group

We stayed here for a sisters and cousins weekend and it was perfect! We really needed 5 bedrooms to accommodate our group of 10. We were excited to find a place that also had 5 bathrooms! That was very nice. The place is nice and open and the bedroom layout is good for a group that has a few kids. With sitting areas both on the main and lower floors, we were able to put the kids to bed on the main floor, and hangout on the lower floor. Everyone had the space they needed if they wanted to get some quiet time. There were only two minor issues. One was hot water. I don't think the tank is big enough to accommodate a house that big, or the potential number of guests it may be holding. My niece had to take a cold shower, after minimal warm water use. We were able to work around that during out short trip though. The other issue is that despite the fact that all the bathrooms had tubs, none were really functional for taking a bath. There were even two large jacuzzi tubs that looked inviting, but were in need of a good cleaning/servicing. We had kids who were dying to take a bath in one, but we couldn't let them. Anyway, despite those minor issues, we would 100% stay again. The space is great! Oh, I forgot to mention the really nice screened in porch. One more note... the driveway is a little tricky. It's long and narrow, with nowhere to turn around. We all had to back in, one in front of the other. Again, no big deal, just took some planning.

Beautiful setting and house

Had an awesome girls weekend getaway to celebrate a birthday. Perfect fit for us with each having her own bedroom and bathroom. The couches are perfect for snuggling up on for long talks into the night. Short drive to our favorite restaurants and spas. Owners have everything well stocked. Hope to return next year at this time.

Another great stay at Healing House!

This is the second time our group has stayed at Healing House and it was just as wonderful as the first. The property is just as described, clean, and well maintained. We love the large number of bedrooms and bathrooms and our favorite place to hang out is the lovely screened in porch. The driveway is a little steep and small and we were concerned about fitting all our cars, but we were able to make it work! We had 4 cars, 3 of which were small to mid sized SUVs, and they fit just fine. We will definitely stay here again!
