”Exactly what I would expect from a large chain hotel. Reasonably comfortable beds, good amenities, clean property, pleasant staff. No bells and whistles, but it works for a good night's sleep.”

”The room was clean and tidy, decorated in a nice style. Staff top drawer, helpful and friendly. Food was very good, the pie was perfect. The only thing that would improve it would be a free standing shower or over bath shower. That's a preference not a criticism.”

”We happened to be there during an epic heat wave and one thing I hadn’t considered was lack of AC. There was a fan in the room but the windows didn’t fully open so it was a bit miserable. Not the hotels fault - but def something to consider if you’ll be staying here over the summer months.”

”This is a hidden gem. It's a charming old manor house with very comfortable rooms and lovely food. The staff can't do enough for you and are extremely helpful. It's set in its own grounds, completely hidden from the road with no noise apart from birdsong and the whispering of the trees.”

”Stayed for one night, which happened to be the hottest night of the year. Not the hotels fault, but the window in the room would not open. Hotel did supply fans but made little difference. Major issue was after a night in a 30 degree room there was no water for a shower, or the toilet. Spoke to manager who was stressed but apologetic who said the mains were off due to an issue which he hoped would be fixed at some point…. We left quickly to find somewhere to shower and was asked at reception if...

”Parking was only ok because we arrived late in the day on a Saturday and were able to park on the street outside for free. Any other day and I think you’d have to pay to park on the high street. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. Only stayed one night so no complaints. Pinos across the road was excellent for dinner. ”

”The location of the property was peaceful and was surrounded by beautiful countryside. The owner was a great host who made us feel welcome..We enjoyed our stay.”

”I really enjoyed my stay. The staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for me. I felt very welcome there. The bar sold some great local beers and the dinner and breakfast choices were great. Looking forward to staying there again.”

”Lovely pub but incredibly busy so there were long waits for drinks and food Stay slightly marred by very noisy drinkers right outside our room until 00.50hrs Great area to stay for Bath Racecourse and visiting the white horse”

”Lovely hotel the only downside which I had not realised was breakfast started at 8 and we needed to leave at 730. The staff were lovely and provided us with cereal and milk the night before. We eat in the restaurant on the evening of our arrival and the food was excellent.”
