”I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. This was a very clean hotel and was comfortable as the shower was quickly poured in the hot water in the morning or at night. The room is small, but despite the low price, the room is clean and comes with soap and free water bottles, making it a comfortable stay.

”This a great place to stay that is in the Victorian era mode. I hope the basic decorum and vibe of the place never changes. It is a throw back to another era and all of the pictures from earlier times in Kolkata and the hotel and news clips are very interesting. ”When my taxi arrived at 3 AM and looked at the hotel exterior, I laughed. It was too funny. But once I got into the hotel and my room, I was cool with everything. Clean, comfortable albeit very small room and bathroom shower system in which the entire room is the shower! Something new for me but I learned quite typical in India.

”Western style hotel with rather good breakfast and a bit worn rooms. Surprisingly not much traffic noise (at least to 4th floor), but some very loud religious prayer calls are totally annoying. I think the hotel should discuss with neighbours to stop them or at least limit to day time. Windows are too dark, hardly any visibility. Breakfast is not great but will do. You have to walk outside to get to the breakfast area so dont go out in your slippers, especially if its been raining. (when it rains, water collects in the outside area)
Walls are on the thin side, so if you're a light sleeper, make sure you have ear plugs.
