”A nice hotel tucked out of the way but close enough to get back to main shopping areas etc. Bougie style of decor and which my gf liked, room was spacious with garden view, was clean and cosy, we had dinner at the embassy restaurant, choosing the Indian food which was pretty good, the thali was a authentic way to serve the food and in all the food was good. Breakfast next day was the usual full English affair which again was good, hotel bar and was fully stocked and even had happy hour on...

”Our stay at the Lion was excellent. The only complaint was that the door to our room wouldn't lock, but other than that everything was great. I would definitely stay there again. Great location for shopping at Bicester Village and a short drive to Bleinheim Palace. ”

”Nice hotel with free parking and spacious rooms. staff were friendly and helpful. the food was delicious and the afternoon tea was good and affordable... they have nice outdoor seating and it was a good base to explore the Cotswolds.”

”Beautiful characterful old property with a pretty central courtyard and lovely friendly staff. Good breakfast served in lovely airy room but a pity other even simple meals not served although there are many options for lunch and dinner within a couple of minutes walk in the town so not a problem.”

”Old building with nice decor but dysfunctional as a hotel. No air conditioning, window doesn’t really open, shower leaks water on the floor, and bed was very bad. Avoid the kitchen.”

”If you want a good nights sleep don’t go here . Not the owners fault early morning bin wagons market setting up . Quality of the room was poor shower door missing hairs on the bathroom floor. Mattress was like a bed of nails”

”Business/CPD trip. Everything i needed was on the premises. Staff on friday night were very busy, but always attend to your needs. Cottage was squeaky clean. Thank you sooo much! Lively and vibrant Pub (nice to see it so busy ☺️). Dinner and breakfast absolutely delicious. Service outstanding. Hope at some Point (er) 🐾🤩 i will have to come back. Thank you all the staff.”
