”This is my third stay here, and my first in one of the outbuildings. Despite my stated wish to be in the main building, I was assured I would love my upgraded room. I didn't. I had a huge lovely bedroom and bathroom, with no closet. The closet was in a second bedroom which room, as a solo traveler, was of no use to me. ”Simpele maar schone kamer waar alles is wat je nodig hebt. Snelle wifi, lekker bed en fijne douche. Zeer vriendelijk personeel. Volgende dag ontbijt voor de open haard - speciaal voor mij aangestoken. Prima diner.”

”Lovely grounds and building. The staff, especially Shabila, were welcoming. Shabila is relentless in ensuring that everything is satisfactory. We stayed on a Sunday and so it wasn’t busy and there was a relaxed atmosphere. Excellent evening meal and breakfast. We had a good price for the room, so it was excellent value for money. The only suggestion would be to look at the heating in the Pear Tree rooms. It was very hot. ”

”These lodges are just beautiful! Perfect location for the party we had at Rise and Grind. Beautiful views of the lake from the balcony. Spotlessly clean . Well equipped with kettle/ biscuits etc . Reception staff very welcoming. Honestly can’t fault it . Will visit again one day ”

”Bar understaffed but staff were very friendly. We paid £300 for a room for the night and would have expected a coffee machine for that price. Parking in hotel is ridiculously expensive £15 for the first 24 hrs then another £15 for even an hour longer than that. The garden is lovely and bar food reasonably priced.”
