”Upealla paikalla tämä vanha sairaalana toiminut hotelli. Meillä oli kaksi huonetta varauksessa eri kategosiasta. Edullisempi huone oli parempi ja toinen huone mikä oli kalliimpi oli remontoimaton mutta isompi. Remontoidut huoneet ovat ihanat, eli kannattaa panostaa sellaiseeen. Hotelli hyvitti toisen huoneen samaan hintaan mutta huono maku jäi sen suhteen. Aamiainen on vähän sotkuinen eikä mikään ihmeellinen, perusbuffetti. Kävelymatka Peeblesiin jossa voi iltaisin käydä syömässä. Spa osastoa...

”Excellent service from very friendly and helpful staff. The room was a standard double with a very comfortable bed but the bathroom was poorly designed with a very small toilet seating area next to a small wash handbasin installed with a large surround which, if smaller, would have made using the toilet more comfortable. When booking again would definitely request a larger bathroom. Good breakfast choices and easy parking for an overnight stay. Thank you.”

”Welcoming staff and lovely building. Dinner was great but the breakfast was poor and I couldn't eat it. Never seen poached so hard, mattress on the bed was pretty 'used' with a big dip in it so not the most comfortable for the money. They also charged my card for 50% of my booking 2 days before our stay without permission and the balance on the arrival day rather than 'pay at property' which was how the booking was made. I then had to chase up the invoices. ”

”My best friend and I got to experience what relatively few Americans will ever experience - sleeping in a real castle! What an experience! The grounds were beautiful, overlooking a flowing river and a gorgeous wooded area. The walk to the quaint town of Peebles was fabulous. Indeed, I can think of NOTHING of this one night experience for us that was amiss. We had the whole castle to ourselves. The accommodations were more than comfortable. ”We can’t say enough about this incredibly special place. We found the history of the tower and the surrounding area so intriguing. The recommended walk along the Tweed River and the nearby arboretum were beautiful. Make sure to stay at least a couple nights.”
