”Lovely nights stay at the Ashford Arms. Comfortable rooms and excellent restaurant serving fabulous food. Nice to have a breakfast menu as opposed to a buffet. Great location in quiet village close to Bakewell. Would stay again if back in Derbyshire.”

”The hotel was lovely, the staff couldn't do any more to help us. The breakfast was very superior to any that we have had in a long time. Our room had an en-suite, coffee making facilities, hair dryer and one heck of an awesome view of the dales. The best part for us both was that they had a bar, so we could venture out during the day and rewind with a few drinks with our dinner. ”

”This hotel is located in a beautiful old building with a gorgeous garden. The rooms are charming. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast each day and the bar in the evening. Nice wine selection! Its a great locattion for visiting Chatsworth House and the beautful scenery of the Peak Distict.”

”Very kind staff for both the stay and dinner, accommodating for requests. The room had a cozy classic vibe and remodeled recently. The inn is right in the center of the town and very walkable with lots of little places around for food and shopping. The food at the attached restaurant was fantastic all around!”

”Lovely property and couple. What a welcomed feeling for two jet lagged travelers. Thank you for making us feel welcomed. Room was clean and cozy. Bathroom was stocked with all the creature comforts. Tub was a sight for welcomed sight for sore eyes and the shower was top notch, with great water pressure, as per my husband. On-site parking was easy and convenient as listed. ”It was great. Staff wonderful, food great communications excellent, only slight detraction was the room was a tiny bit tired and in the cottage across the road with a bit of a sticky window. However in general terms we live the whole experience and I can’t praise the staff enough. They were brilliant ”

”Apartment very well appointed, very comfortable . Communication with the host was excellent , we had a slight problem and couldn’t get the tv to work which she soon sorted out. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend it .”

”The room was lovely (room 5) with a very comfy bed, decent enough facilities, but no complimentary biscuits, which is unusual, but understandable in these times.
The staff are very friendly and helpful, rushed off their feet as most places, but knew what they were doing.
