I had a few problems at checkin then once i got to my room found it dirty, changed rooms it was clean but ended up goin to the office 2x because of these problems. The tv and phone didnt work. I just got off work and was tired. Was it worth $104.98 for 1 night u ask? No. No it wasnt

I knew I was staying in a lowbudget hotel, so my review is based on that. The stars would be lower if I thought I was going to a Westin or Four Seasons. It was a roof over our heads in the middle of nowhere and I was grateful to have it. The staff was very nice. Everything was clean and in working order except the toilet, but as soon as I let them know, they put a work order in to have it fixed.

The staff worked to ensure all our needs were cared for. Three people worked together to make our room ready on the ground floor. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Don’t judge a book by its cover! This is an old facility on the outside but our room was very clean, updated, great new comfortable beds, and very quiet. Even though it is right on the interstate we did not hear any traffic noise.

It was convenient. Its an older property. It advertised a Casino, but it is 5 miles away and not part if the property at all. That is misleading.

Barking dog woke me up, heater was sub par. Bathroom door knob didn’t work and would lock you in if you managed to get it closed. Water was very hard. (They need a water softener). The bathroom sink faucet was lose and felt like it was going to fall off. Water pressure was good. Room was clean enough, small flat screen tv, 32” approx.

Originally were planning to stay at Viejas for $350 but the bad smoke smelling make me reconsider that, we played there and decided to keep driving to another place to sleep, Expedia come to the rescue and found me this place, I read reviews and it was for one night only. Im a fan of Motel Bates movies so this was my real experience, we arrived past midnight in the middle of nowhere, found the Motel and then I saw a dark silhouette of a man standing there behind the door, lol this was Mr. Bates for me. He was friendly and waitinf for us cause we called ahead to let him know we were arriving past midnight. The room 111 was super clean, beds were okay but pillows were too fluffy and soft for us. We had the sunrise very early and couldn't sleep anymore. There's coffee and cookies at the lobby and you can purchase other snacks. I feel safe because it was super dark area but they have cameras everywhere. Next day we left early and had breakfast at Mathews Live oak restaurant, they make big fresh breakfast for a budget.

The motel was much cleaner than other similar motels at which I have stayed. The manager was very kind and attentive. Although it is right off of the freeway, there is barely any traffic noise. I could hear the crickets at night when I opened the window. For the price, this is a good choice!

I was told there would be a $25 charge for my small service dog checking in. Nothing was mentioned of a charge when making the reservation. Room was worn with some small fixes. Shower was broken. It handle pulled away from the wall as if it was going to come off in your hand. No coffee, far from Any amenities. Disappointing Door had a big gap when closed.

I had always wondered about this place but I never stayed because of some weird reviews but I needed a place to stay for the weekend that wasn’t $200 a night. I wasn’t sure what to expect but this place was so safe, clean, and cozy! The office has plenty of snacks and drinks for sale but the pizza in nearby live oak springs was also a delight. I especially enjoyed listening to the birds outside. There are chairs outside your room where you can smoke. The water was hot, the TV channels were good. The beds were memory foam cushy. Honestly better than half the El Centro/Hotel Circle hotels I’ve stayed in. There was nothing we didn’t like.

Back Country Inn Motel is quite the accurate description. It is the last possible accommodation before the Imperial County line and before the descent into the desert. It’s small, tidy, and welcoming.
