”Everything was great”

”Absolute treasure. Went for a retreat to get some work done. It could not have been more perfect. Staff super respectful and approachable. Room was spacious, clean and sound proof. Breakfast was excellent....loved the banana and peanut smoothie. what a combo. And after a hard day's work, it was relaxing in the sauna/steam room& jaccuzzi. Planning on bringing a team of people for group bonding sessions.....with the vast green lands and lots of conference rooms and break out open...

”Used the hotel as a base when visiting family in the local area. Nice location, very safe. All staff were professional and friendly. Rooms in both the annex and main hotel were spacious and clean, the main hotel perhaps feeling a little more modern. Great breakfast with both continental and hot fresh foods to order. Staff in the restaurant were exceptional! We were offered a fan in our room but it did little in the recent heatwave - totally not the hotel’s fault!! But perhaps consider...

”For somereason our key worked on other doors as well than just ours (we accidently went to wrong floor first and opened an occupied room) The receptionist told ys that there is a technical problem and told us to use the same key for our door.. It’s not a tidy place. I would recommend everyone to pack antihistamins and extra inhalers to survive.”

”It was good price-value for staying relatively close to the airport. There was instant coffee and tea in the room which I always like as a small factor when doing on the road stop like this and not necessarily having full breakfast. Staff was okay and bed and facilities sufficient but nothing special. It was further away from the airport than I thought. When using buses, you had to walk around 1,5km in dark to get there, this was a bit of downer. They offered (quite pushily) a taxi service for...

”The property is basic accommodation and under the flight path of the Gatwick airport runway…extremely noisy 6 am to 11pm.. I left due to the LACK of quiet.. every 5 mins a plane going above! 😢”

”Although the check out time was 12 and we put "Do not disturb"sign on the door, cleaners started cleaning our room while we went for a walk and removed our bag from the room. My husband was going to eat breakfast in the room after the walk but he was shocked as his bag was missing although he put the room service order through night before. There is no communication between the desk & cleaners and cleaners ignore the Do not disturb sign. ”

”As another reviewer stated, it's a bit quirky in decor and furnishings. Needs heavier drapes or shades on windows and layout of the family "suite" unusual with access to the tiny loo room and shower through the smaller bedroom, which doesn't have a door. Lovely host, good coffee/tea selection.”
