I had room of the top floor (6th floor), elevator was broken but that wasn't even the worst thing, I heard rodents moving in the ventilation at night/evening. There was a big yellow stain on the mattress and the cleanliness was a bit poor anyway. Staff was nice and speak good English, hotel was near of the old town

Hotel has a good location within walking distance to the unuversity square and old town. Clean and comfy rooms. Simple but nice breakfast. Friendly staff and fast wifi. Overall good value for money.

Within Walking distance from the old town. Friendly and very helpfull staff. Good breakfast. Also Walking distance from Metro station, and tram line goes nearby.

Sijainti ihan hyvä vanhan kaupungin vieressä. Huoneet tilavia ja hiljaisia . Minibaari ja tallelokero huoneessa. Aamiainen edullinen ja riittävä. Maksullinen lentokenttäkuljetus saatavilla. Ravintola saisi olla myöhempään auki.

Would not stay again
I don't really get why this hotel got so many very good reviews. Stayed there for two nights, first when I came there were pubic hair on the toilet seat and in the toilet, the floor of the toilet was wet (so were my socks afterwards) and one of the glasses in the toilet was definitely not washed since a while. Went to say this to the reception and the answer was "oh....". Next morning after cleaning the toilet floor was again wet. The walls are like paper, I heard the guy next door to me coughing, talking, snoring, coming in at 3 in the morning...The heating was not working because they were expecting warm weather the week after so they didn't turn it on (so was said to me by the receptionist). So it was cold in the room and there was no blanket, only a sheet to use as a blanket. After shivering the first night, I went to ask the reception if they could provide me with a blanket, they said yes of course. During the day I asked in total 3 times for it, never came, then at 11 o'clock in the evening I went to ask for the 4th time why the blanket is not there and the receptionist told me that normally the blanket should be in my closet. I checked, it was there but with no sheet on it. At this point I was very glad to get a phone call from work that I had to take a flight out of Bukarest in 5 hours and cut my trip short. The location is about 15-20min walk from everywhere, and really not in a beautiful neighborhood. The breakfast is average at best. Wifi worked well.

Nice stay
We stayed at this hotel for few day and nights. Breakfast was relly good, and the location perfect. When visiting such a big city as Bucharest, you need to keep in mind that you simply cannot be close to EVERYTHING. But the centre, old town, shopping malls... etc. were really near. Staff speaks real good english, and we had no complaints or anything negative to say. I strongly can recommend Tempo Hotel for your visit in Bucharest.

Helpful staff
Nice, quiet hotel, no noise at the night time. Close to Universitatii Piata (subway). Spend 8 nights, breakfast was ok. Staff was always willing to help. A small market was located almost other side of the street. It was very hot outside at daytime +35 C, the room was very cool al the time.

Erittäin hyvä hotelli!
Kaikin puolin erinomainen hotelli. Ainoana miinuksena oli, että viereisestä huoneesta kuului yöllä puhetta ja huutoa, mutta muiden vieraiden käytös tuskin on hotellin vika. Aamupala oli yksi parhaimmista koskaan, laaja valikoima ja tuoretta tavaraa.

Good hotel in Bucharest
Rooms and hotel itself was clean. Room was ok size with nice small balcany. Ok breakfast. Location was ok (5-10min walk from University Square/metro). Overall good hotel to see the city and rest after a long day.

Buena relación calidad precio
La habitación estaba muy limpia y era cómoda, además era silenciosa. Ubicación buena, a unos 18 min andando del casco antiguo y la zona es segura. El único pero es que quizás necesite algún retoque el hotel.

No air conditioning, no change for cash payments
Hotel itself would have been comfortable - but - they had turned the air conditioning off, claiming it as ‘broken’ to all the members of our small tour group. Later as we checked out the desk clerk said it had been turned off for the ‘winter’. Our stay was in Sept with temps in the mid to high ‘80s. Even with a fan, it was still uncomfortably hot. Breakfast, while good, was quite expensive by Bucharest standards. (40 Ron per person) Front desk *never* had change for cash payments, instructing guests to go down the street to a grocery store to get change.l in order to pay small charges. We stayed in much more accommodating lodgings during our 2 weeks in Romania. Not recommended.

The first night we noticed that the air conditioning was not working. Reception told us that they were waiting for a part to fix it. It was not fixed during our 5 day stay. A fan was provided.

AC was not working when we arrived but the receptionist (Santosh) made sure that we were provided with a fan. On our return where we had 3 nights, as the AC was not working still, Santosh arranged for us to be upgraded to a room with a balcony that allowed more air through. Some noise from traffic and the adjacent tram route, which starts early! All the staff were really friendly and helpful, especially Santosh. The cleaning staff kept everything very clean. A good breakfast. A short walk from the old town but good value compared to more expensive hotels in the old town.

The breakfast selection was very poor, and cold, the coffee was not very good with the machine not working too well, I wanted bed and breakfast, I just wanted a room which was comfortable and the room was, the breakfast really was a terrible let down and for that reason I wouldn’t go back

I liked: the variety at breakfast. This seems to be expected in Romania, I have encountered it elsewhere too, but this is a small hotel. There were vegetables to go with the egg -- GREAT! there were olives, tapenade, .... on the side. There were the sliced tomatos and cucumbers, plenty of them. And fruit. The terrace room! There is only one of it. The balconies. Bathroom was not cramped -- quite spacious.
