”I booked this hotel because it was pet friendly and close to where we had plans. I knew from research that the hotel was outdated, but I thought that it might be kind of fun to stay there. ”We stayed at Camelback Resort for one night and the experience was frustrating overall. We arrived early and waited 1 hr 20 mins just to check in, then another 1 hr 10 mins for our room. While we were offered pool access and given arcade cards and late checkout (1 PM), it didn’t make up for over 2 hours of waiting. ”Staff very nice, but they tend to hide. Overall a decent hotel, basic breakfast and clean. Perfect for my needs. Did not have time for the pool or fitness center. The one thing that disappointed me, and this is probably on me for not checking further, was that I requested a room with a fireplace. I got one, presuming it would be a gas burner with a switch. Nope. A real wood burning fireplace. I did not go looking for wood. ”
