We've stayed several times before; this was the first time the water was uncomfortably hot (there could have been a on-off problem with the heat regulation valve). Our room at the corner of the building was quiet, well air-conditioned and comfortable. The breakfast was decent but they ran out of croissants and other pastries pretty early on and failed to replenish the tray. I don't see why they couldn't...

”I booked a compact room usually these are very small but comfy. This was downstairs with only 1 other room close by. Spacious quiet and comfortable. Also cool which was nice as its unusually warm in Buxton. The piano playing in the lobby is a lovely touch ”
”The staff and the breakfast were amazing however the rooms have no shampoo (body wash is not going to do it for me), no lotion, no tissues and no phone. No phone makes it extremely difficult for overseas visitors to contact reception. Even the charming lady on reception who confirmed that these amenities were not offered in the hotel states that they were a budget hotel ‘but maybe not - we are quite expensive’. ”
