Ever since I saw this golf course in the planning stages, and watched its development and location it was a great place for couples' or buddy trip. Go to their webiste, my pictures don't reveal all 18. Golf is not included in the rate. This has supplanted Old Head, in Ireland, as the most fantastic course I've ever played. It is a canyon, carpeted by green grass accented by desert in a cathedral of mountains, and right on the Sea of Cortez.

Several different restaurants and buffets and an eat-in kitchen with food purchased at the Market, which is right next door to the gym. The gym is not one of those rinky-dink afterthoughts, it is capacious and clean.



Given the fact that hospitality was never a major industry in this out of the way location, the staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and gracious. The airport is a short shuttle ride away, as is the town of Loreto.

The Disco is a short shuttle ride (4 minutes) up into the hills and there is an active night life there.

The beach features a shallow bay connecting with the Sea of Cortez.
