This is a great option if you are in town for hiking, especially if you don't speak Spanish. The guy who works the front desk is super personable and will help with hiking routes, restaurants, whatever you need, and he is also a wonderful host - very friendly, very charismatic. The view from our windows of the mountains was outstanding. You will have to shut the curtains ok n the afternoon to keep the heat out, but you won't be there anyway. You'll be hiking or eating or visiting a cheese cave.

A memorable stay at this hotel. Waking up to a view onto the mountains was priceless. Alberto was friendly and knowledgeable and had some great recommendations. It was quick walk to the restaurants. A great place to access hiking in the Picos and not far from Lagos. Will treasure our memories from this trip for a long while.

Muy bien en general. Hay parking gratuito a 20 m del propio hotel. Habitación muy bien las camas cómodas y las almohadas también, muy importante. Si volvemos repetiremos. Calidad precio muy bien.

Great service and location
Really positive experience, the manager was very helpful with suggestions regarding hikes so see narajo de Bulnes, bus times etc. Good location in the town, you can reach everything by foot in 2-5 mins. They have a car park also which was a plus.

Para repetir. Excelente atención del personal. Habitación limpia y camas muy cómodas. Desayuno buffet con variedad de productos. Cobertura wifi en todo el hotel. Las habitaciones no disponen de aire acondicionado y hacia un poco de calor en las habitaciones. Aparcamientos del hotel pequeño aunque se puede aparcar en los alrededores sin problemas. Bien situado para hacer la Ruta del Cares. Recomendable la actividad que hacen en el hotel del regreso de la ruta del cares en landrover. Con ganas de volver.

Warum geht man nach Arenas de Cabrales? Natürlich um dort zu wandern. Der sehr freundliche Chef des Hotels hat Tipps für Jedermann, für einfache und schwierige Touren und nimmt sich wirklich Zeit für die Beratung.Das Zimmer war sauber, hell mit sehr großem Fenster, super Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Frühstücksbuffet für 6 € sehr angemessen, auch mit Obst, guten Säften, Süssgebäck. Nur der Joghurt und die abgepackte Marmelade trafen nicht unseren Geschmack. Parkplatz vorhanden, schnelles WLAN.

Perfecto para recorrer los picos
Estuvimos 2 días hospedados. El trato fue buenísimo, tienen parking privado (aunque en el pueblo hay más si es necesario), y está perfectamente situado para ir a Poncebos, tanto en coche como con el bus público (de 2 euros). Quizá el precio nos pareció un poco más alto de la cuenta en comparación con otros en Asturias.

We had some very nice days at Naranjo de Bulnes. The room was clean. The bed was big and the view fantastic. We would like to go back soon.

A good base in one of the most popular villages
This is a good place to stay for a few days to explore The Picos de Europa from. I would recommend some days in the North though such as the Potes area which we preferred and it gets sunnier weather although there was a heat wave in the North while we were there. The unusually high temperatures 30c at 8 pm meant the lack of air conditioning made the room a little uncomfortable. we opened the windows wide and just slept on top of the bed. Breakfast was very good with choice of cereals, fruit juice, fresh fruit, meats and cheese, toast, bread & croissants, jams and yoghurt tea , coffee chocolate. The male in charge probably the owner was very helpful with advice on things to do in the area if needed and he speaks good English which is not the norm in the whole area of the Picos although most restaurants have a menu in English. The room and bathroom en suite was very clean. \the hotel was very full over the weekend but empty on the Monday. Sat & Sun we could not take breakfast at 8.30 am because of this but it did not bother us as we ate earlier at 8 pm and could have chosen 9 am if wished. We enjoyed our stay here and it is pretty good value.

The hotel is definitely no frills, but it has a sweet and rustic feel and the staff was wonderful. I would definitely stay here again. One note - the breakfast at the hotel is not worth it! Better to go to a cafe around the hotel.

Ausgezeichnetes Hotel nahe guter Wanderrouten
Das Naranjo de Bulnes in Cabrales liegt recht zentral in der Nähe guter Wanderrouten am Nationalpark Picos de Europa. Vor allem die berühmte "Ruta Cares" liegt nur ca. 15 Autominuten entfernt. Restaurants und Bars sind zu Fuss in ca. 3 bis 5 Minuten erreichbar ebenso kleine Läden für Waren des täglichen Bedarfs. Supermarkt und Tankstelle ca. 3-5 Autominten entfernt. Der Inhaber und das Personal sind sehr freundlich und engagiert. Das Frühstück durchaus reichhaltig im freundlich eingerichteten und hellen Frühstücksraum. Man wird am Tisch bedient (u. a. werden Kaffee und 2 Sorten Saft durch das freundliche Personal und Inhaber mehrmals am Tisch nachgefüllt), bzw. kann fehlende Dinge auch selbst nehmen. Das Zimmer, das ich hatte, hatte zwar keinen Bergblick (1 Fenster zur Seitenstrasse) war aber geräumig und sehr sauber, ebenso das Bett und das Badezimmer. Kleines Manko ist, dass das man nicht direkt beim Hotel parken kann (Der kleine Hotelparkplatz ist meistens schnell belegt). Aber ca. 100 - 150 m entfernt gibt es öffentliche Parkmöglichkeiten (gratis). Ich habe meinen Auftenthalt (4 Nächte) in diesem Hotel sehr genossen und würde jedezeit wieder hier übernachten.

Fantastisk ophold i bjergene med skøøøøn udsigt
Perfekt udgangspunkt for mange vandreture i bjergene. Hotelejeren var meget hjælpsom med oversigt over nogle af de bedste ture og vi gennemførte 3 af de allerbedste, vi nogensinde har været ude på. charmerende lille by med flere restauranter. Det endte med at vi forlængede vores ophold til 5 overnatninger. Et godt tip er at ofre lidt ekstra og besille et superior værelse med store vinduer og en fantastisk udsigt til bjergene.

Ubicado en el núcleo urbano de Arenas de Cabrales con lo que la posibilidad de excursionismo es ilimitada. Hay aparcamiento gratuito para una docena de vehículos. Amabilidad del personal de recepción. Las habitaciones son reducidas pero cumplen sobradamente los objetivos para una estancia corta.

Picos hiking
I was doing some hiking in the Picos with some friends, and we stayed here for a night. The room fit our needs well. The lack of a fixed shower head was a little annoying, and the breakfast that one can get for 6 euros was a bit underwhelming given the price. Overall a good stay though.

Great location for a cycling holiday. Good rides in the area. Interesting visits to Bulnes, from Poncebos via funicular and Covadonga. Hotel provided bike accommodation. Good breakfast.

can't fault it for the price and location
great little hotel, 3 of us on walking holiday in Picos de Europa - ideal location for many of the walks, quiet time of the year for the hotel (early Oct) not a fancy place but very clean and does the job, manager was very helpful and lovely little town - couldn't fault it for the price.

Hotel bien ubicado para la ruta del cares y picos de europa. Reservamos una oferta en www.hoteles.com para hacer la ruta del cares. La ruta del cares es espectacular !!!. Trato muy amable y familiar por parte del personal del hotel. Siempre están asesorando y recomendando actividades. Habitaciones sencillas, amplias y limpias. Baño muy limpio y con todo lo necesario. Lo mejor las vistas desde el hotel a los picos de europa. También dispone de aparcamiento gratuito frente al hotel. Si quieres relajarte unos días, este hotel y Cabrales es un buen sitio para ello, así que intentaremos volver muy pronto. El hotel lo recomendaría para pasar unos días en los picos de europa.

Un lugar de ensueño
Cuando llegamos, el hotel estaba lleno y nos pusieron en un apartamento en el hotel de al lado que es de los mismos dueños. Unas vistas impresionantes. El apartamento decorado a lo retro con muy buen gusto. El encargado muy muy muy amable. Nos explicó pormenorizadamente la ruta del Cares, pues estábamos interesados en hacerla. Realmente nos hemos llevado una impresión buenísima, tanto del hotel, como del personal del hotel, como del pueblo en sí (Arenas de Cabrales), como de la ruta del Cares. Solo pasamos una noche, pero me gustaría poder pasar 15 días. Totalmente recomendable.

hotel familiar muy correcto para su categoría. fuimos para hacer la ruta del cares. excelente relación calidad-precio.personal muy amable y atento. el personal del hotel facilita información turistica y de actividades a realizar (información muy válida y útil). instalaciones sencillas y sin lujos. habitaciones muy limpias.vistas a los picos de europa desde la habitación que nos tocó. desayuno caro ya que no es buffet. cafetería muy coqueta exclusiva para los huespedes del hotel. hotel recomendado. si tuvieramos que volver volveriamos a este hotel.
