”This romantic seaside cottage lived up to it's claims. We loved the view, the art, the garden, and the lanai! Its well stocked with beach stuff and day trip supplies as well as games, books and movies. It's perfectly situated between great beaches on the kona side and the volcano park on the hilo side.”

”We enjoyed are stay at the Ohia Cottage. Pictures are accurate. There is no air conditioning which we knew when we rented the cottage. Fans through out the property. The cottage is surrounded by a lush tropical forest. With that being said, lots of spiders, insects, very vocal frogs and curious gecko’s! Not to forget the roosters and chickens. So, brings ear plugs to sleep. :)”

The powerful energy of the area was quite apparent and beneficial for healing and strengthening ones growth process. ”My husband and I stayed at the 1 bedroom until for 16 glorious days. It was the perfect place on the island for a home base. We drove all over the island. The unit itself is well loved. A little shabby and worn, but very comfortable and clean. We loved the screened in lanai. We had coffee and breakfast out there every day. The sunsets were fantastic. It was also cool in the evenings, perfect for sleeping. George was great to work with, he left us fresh avocados. They were delicious! All in all...

”Lovely place to stay. 1 really tall bed was an adventure to jump into but was fun being so high up off of the ground. The home was really clean and it was a really nice touch with the gift pack. The balcony is really lovely spot early mornings and evenings to chill out on too. ”

”Absolutely OUTSTANDING in all respects! The property is lovely in the cloud forest. The house is extremely clean and well maintained, especially for the environment. Kathryn was excellent and brought fresh eggs for us to enjoy. That being said; first night - Coqui Frogs were a bit hard to handle. Wife was ready to pull a "My Cousin Vinny", except we didn't have a hand gun. By the last night she was actually in love with the forest sounds and misses them at night. We truly hope we are blessed...

”This is the perfect place for a quiet family getaway. House has everything you could ask for with comfortable beds and pillows. Full kitchen with spices on hand. Game room and dvds on first floor. ”The pics don’t do this home justice. Beautiful views greet you as soon as you pass thru the Kitchen. Host do a terrific job having the home open and ready for your arrival with Hawaiian music already playing. Cooling pool was a big hit and much larger than it appears. Great launching point for the south side of the island. We will be back!”

Doesn't feel royal -they should renovate the place
"This resort is really outdated (atleast the tower were we stayed – they were doing some renovations there though) We were happy that we only booked one night. It is really close to Kailua-Kona center (but was quiet still which was great), so it was walkable and the trolley takes you to some beaches. "
