The room was fine, actually nice and roomy for a King Bed room, and it was clean and in a great location. I gave it 3 stars for the following reason: It's in need of an update, Hotel is very outdated, faded carpets, walls, etc. ALSO,The woman at the desk when I checked in was less than hospitable Not friendly and or welcoming which was a little off-putting after arriving from a very long flight and freezing weather. A few of the other staff on the desk during my stay seemed more helpful. Also, the only "creamer" for coffee anywhere in the hotel was a choice between that packaged powder, or flavored Coffee Mate. You should have those small "Half n Half" containers either in the room or at least in the restaurant during breakfast time. It makes a big difference, especially early in the morning! All in all, I noticed there were several other similar hotels in the area, but I had specifically chosen Holiday Inn because they're usually above the rest. The one was neither good, nor bad, just convenient for what I needed for a short stay.
