”Some refurbishment going on but this did not interfere with our stay. The breakfast was excellent as was the evening meal. The bar was well stocked and a marvelous selection of spirits. The room was very well maintained and comfortable. ”

The staff were all very friendly and welcoming, and the service truly stood out. We also loved the restaurant - great atmosphere and delicious, high-quality food. Overall, a fantastic experience and we would definitely love to come back again. Highly recommend! ”

”Beautiful country hotel, small and personal service, delightful comfortable en-suite rooms, warm inviting pool - often to ourselves, incredible top class gourmet food - formal dining and bar food served in the warm and cosy bar area or the relaxing lounge. So much choice at breakfast, all delicious, everything you could want. Can’t wait to go back in summer to enjoy the open terrace overlooking the pond. A real joy to stay here.”

”Really nice clean room and the staff were more than helpful and friendly however the food was unfortunately a disappointment with the rib eye steak being of poor quality, the onion rings being undercooked and the mushrooms being cold. The wait for food was also longer than expected. ”

”Such a friendly homely place to stay. The village itself is beautiful with plenty of individual shops, the people are friendly The food at the Feathers is excellent, good choice and perfectly cooked. We will be going back soon for our umpteen visit”

”Good stay overall. What i would say is dont expect it to look like the pictures we was but when we got there looked like a block of flats. Breakfast wasnt the best tbh very little on offer very basic but it was included with our stay. For the price you cant go wrong as nesr york its double the price. ”
