”Zenith Basecamp is a unique accommodation and a model that I hope catches on. On site, they refer to it as a glamping hostel. The space is impeccable, set up in a newly renovated historic office building. There’s no frills (bring your own shampoo, soap, and towel), but what’s there is great. You get your own room, with shared individual bathrooms and a kitchenette available for guest use. We also enjoyed the cocktail bar on site!”

”CALl IT WHAT IT IS If you are an AT hiker looking for a place to sleep close to the trail, in the dry, this is a good option. The bed was clean, had a refrigerator and ceiling fan, but no coffee pot. The bathroom and shower are communal so be aware there is not a bathroom in each “cabin,” nor can you lock your door from the inside. Thus “resort” is misleading. I couldn't figure out how to open the gate for parking, then realized from staff email to me that the clicker to the parking gate was on my bed and I'd find it once I got to my room. ”If you are a young person looking to have a cheap stay in a cool athmosphere, then stay here. The host was nice and I would have enjoyed myself very much, but my wife is more of a 5-star luxury hotel type, so she was quite shocked to "have" to stay here :) Well, that was a learning experience for me :) Nothing wrong with the place though! ”The hostel is situated in a residential area. Parking is available on a residential street. The check-in process with Travis was easy. Minor issue when showing me to my private room as someone else had the same first name and accidentally showed me to that room first. But was quickly corrected. The room itself was functional. The bed was firm. The shared bathrooms was clean, but showing its age with various broken tiles. I was only staying one night in Detroit and this is definitely an option...
