”This property has a lot of potential, unfortunately the owners do not invest in it. While I appreciate that it is a lodge and has the charm of a cabin/camping feel, it is very run down and not maintained at all. The grounds need serious attention - there are weeds everywhere, trash, and are just overall unkept. Spider webs are all over the buildings and entryway/doors. The room was filthy and doesn't properly get cleaned. The floors clearly haven't been cleaned in ages, our socks were filthy...

”Seemed historic. No air conditioning, no mini fridge, Keurig coffee pot in lobby didn't work in the morn, initially no staff that morning to help with coffee, but then someone showed up and made a separate pot of coffee but was then time to go catch the bus for the train. No continental although not advertised - would help if they at least served something as the couple of restaurants in town aren't timely for those catching the scenic train. For the price the lack of amenities puts this hotel...

”The cottage was an excellent stay for us. Comfortable, well kept. Had everything you would need in your own home. We loved it. The host, Susie keep in touch with us, and she had a great book set up of the areas activities.”

”Close to train station. Secure, cozy, clean place. Good size for my family of 3. Liked the decor. The yard is shared with another building. We used the desk for homework. Bathroom was small. Soft rugs. Sadly many places to eat and shop were closed on a Saturday night.”
