”We had the very special suite - room #1 and it was incredible. So much room - a real home away from home. Being such an old place - the features are stunning. 😍 Stow on the Wold is adorable and this place is simply the best. We loved our stay!”

”We were in the king room way upstairs tiny stairs that a person my age should not be climbing. The bed was uncomfortable. We were there during the heat wave and had to depart a day early due to lack of AC and ventilation. Location was good and staff was friendly. Front desk not manned at all times. Hard to get service. Still have not received email with receipt from property. Not much choice in this area of hotels, just don’t book upstairs rooms!”

”Lovely pub , super rooms with lovely features in a delightful setting. Food was good especially breakfast. Staff friendly and the garden was beautiful and we enjoyed eating a nice wood fired pizza out there.”

”What an awesome hotel, everyone was friendly. No air conditiioning, but we survived well. Don't think that if you are from the states, you should rent a car. There are plenty of options for transportation vendors, the hotel will provide you the contacts. Beautiful part of the world.”

”It was a really good stay; I would recommend investing on air con and fans, as the nights were really rhot. Otherwise. It was great!!”

”The Bower House property is truly a gem. Clean and beautiful property at a reasonable rate. Nobody around on Monday and Tuesdays to check you in just a lock box system, but it works well.”

”Very friendly staff, a proper cooked breakfast included in the cost and a nice clean room. What more could one need? Will likely be back next year.”

”As we didn’t book direct with the hotel our evening meal wasn’t included. That wasn’t a problem as you could dine in any of the restaurants for £30 per head. Traveller’s be aware though if you didn’t want to dine in there was no other food purchase options available after 4pm. They don’t offer room service either. The grounds are extensive and it’s not possible to walk to anywhere. Take snacks with you as there is a fridge available in the room.”

”Our beds were comfortable, and the room spotlessly clean. The curry at the Maharaja restaurant in the evening was fantastic -tasted superb, good price, excellent service.”

”We stayed here for the weekend of26th June , what a gem of a place to find . Room was lovely , staff were very chatty and nothing was too much trouble , food excellent . Although not in the normal hot spot stays , this pub is in a quiet location but not far from anywhere . Highly recommend a stay here at this pub”

”Cleaning staff excellent Bar staff excellent Front desk not good at all We were treated poorly as there was a wedding and got all the attention No A/C and temp was 90 degrees. Just got very small fan.”
