”It was an old rundown motel, open to the street the countertops were old and needed replacing, and the shower was so old, I wouldn't take a shower there. AWFUL!!”

”The staff were very friendly and accommodating! Clean room and comfortable bed! The only cons, that were noticed, was the sink in our bathroom was very slow to drain and the bathroom door did not remain closed. Would definitely stay here again if we visit this area.”

”I booked a room with this property for 1 night, the next day before check out I called the front desk and advised I would stay another night. After some discussion I realized I had to go thru Expedia again to get a lower rate, which I did. Unknown to me the employee at the front desk CANCELED my reservation and did not advised me of this. Later that day while I was in the room, this employee showed up at my door with the "manager" and advised me my resv. had been cancelled. After a lenghty...

”Wow- a real treat of a cabin in a great location. Warm welcome with friendly staff The hot tub was great, overlooking creek on a back patio. Property was kept up well and very clean. Cutely decorated. The kids loved it. Totally would stay here again! Great find!!”

”I was very sad to see Cherokee go down so much since I was there as a kid. Although I’m grateful for the job that it brought to the area having the casino it has really made. Everything else looks so rundown. Shops were falling apart. people were very nice everywhere we went. I probably would not stay at this hotel again although the staff was so sweet.”

”Expedia let us make reservations several months ago for Super Bowl Weekend but did not coordinate with the owners of Newfound Lodge as the hotel was closed for the season. Expedia should not be making reservations for a hotel that is closed and also should let customers know that it wasn’t going to be open. I don’t blame Newfound Lodge but this needs to be fixed! ”
