”My favorite place to stay in Chicago! Amazing access to transportation, food, culture. Hotel has a unique feel and great staff. Some construction during my stay, but old buildings need maintenance, and I was unaffected by noise. ”

”Amazing European style healthy and delicious breakfast and speciality coffees as much as you want! Clean modern rooms. Positive surprise, will come again for sure!”
”We had a nice room with great views to the river. Bed and bath were ok, not great. The ac was quite loud and I missed more space to put my clothes into.”

Cleaning worked well, but the cleaners started working really early.
Noise from the elevators was very loud and our room wasn't even bext to the elevators.
Directions for public transport and shopping from the reception were poor.

”We came to Chicago to celebrate my son’s birthday. The staff at this JW Marriott went above and beyond to make our stay special. I was able to arrange a special celebration cake to be sent to the room, plus they sent chocolate-covered strawberries (his favorite)! We booked a room with Executive Lounge access and it did not disappoint. My son was very satisfied with the breakfast - I wish I had stopped in to get myself a bagel. "My daughter and I went to Chicago to run the marathon. Booked The River hotel as it was one of the few hotels I could find with twin beds at a reasonable price located within walking distance to grant park. The room was compact but it was warm, clean, had a microwave oven, mini fridge and espresso machine. Location was absolutely brilliant. Magnificent mile just the other side of the river and plenty of shops, restaurants, bakeries right next to the hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful, only really had interaction at checking. Highly recommend, I certainly would stay there next time."
