”A one night stopover on the way back from our holiday. We've stayed here before and were impressed with our room. This time we were in some recently added accommodation, The Stable, and we'd have preferred to be in the main building. The room was fine but since there were others walking past the window, the blind had to be down, so it was either dark, or electric light. We could see into others' rooms as we left.

Myself and my daughter were visiting the air show at Duxford airfield.
The hotel is ideally situated for that location and we walked to the airfield on Saturday morning.
The staff at the hotel were friendly and welcoming. The rooms were clean and comfortable and l slept well.
There is a good choice of food at the Red Lion. The portions are generous and it is well cooked and tasty,

Lähtöaamuna tosin siivooja tuli hätyyttämään huoneesta pois n klo 10.30 ja kertoi, että aikaa on poistua 15 min. Vaikka uloskirjaus on klo 12 viimeistään. Muutoin hyvä hotelli ja lähellä kaikkea. ”We enjoyed a wonderful stay at The Gonville. The hotel was excellent in every respect- beautiful decor, great restaurants and convenient parking. However, the outstanding aspect of the hotel was the wonderful staff. Every person we dealt with from the receptionists, to the barmen, to the housekeeper delivered perfect customer service. I’d especially like to thank Dante (?) the receptionist for taking care of us. Highly recommend The Gonville, Cambridge!”
”A nice, bright (double aspect windows) apartment in a very quiet close, on the edge of Cambridge.
Clean and fairly well appointed (fridge freezer, microwave, cooker, washing machine, iron and board). No hairdryer as far as I can see. TV and Virgin box. Comfortable bed (I do hate poor mattresses) was a blessing.
I'm sure that before booking it claimed to have parking, because I declined several other properties because they had no parking. However in the confirmation they stated that parking...
