”Lovely, well maintained hotel, pool and gardens . The staff committed , knowledgeable and friendly. Dinners in the History restaurant were without exception delicious, especially the First Class Railway Mutton Curry which was outstanding. These were preceded by a visit to the bar, over which knowledgeable barmen preside. All in all, a wonderful stay and the next door ferry was never a problem for us, indeed we think we will miss the throbbing motor which we found quite comforting. ”

”The front desk and staff were excellent. The room did not have fresh linen when we checked it, and the bedding had stains and was not fresh. The front desk was courteous and changed the bedding with fresh linen on our request. The restaurant is nice, the location is convenient, and overall the property and staff are very good. ”

”Hotel was maybe little bite far away from "action". There was basically nothing in walking distance. You had to take tuktuk everytime you wanted to go eat, shopping or see the sights. Hotel had anyway two own restaurants what served excellent food (but no alcohol). There was also nice gym and outdoor pool in this hotel which was great. There was really bad smell in our room during whole 6 days stay. I could still recommend this hotel for few days stay.”
