”The room was nice and big. The staff were friendly. The location was great, near lots of pubs and restaurants. The pub is good too, with friendly people. Not necessarily suited for young children on friday night as the area is loud until 0030, although it did quieten down once bars were shut. The shower water pressure in the evening seemed a lot lower than the morning.”

”Visited as we had a family funeral with the wake being held at the Bannatyne hotel. As a family we couldn’t recommend it more, we were given a room upgrade which was lovely. Breakfast was excellent with great choice for everyone. Would definitely stay again.”

”I'm not usually a B&B person but it had such amazing reviews we gave it a try and it lived up to every 5 star review. It is absolutely gorgeous, the room was spacious and had the most fabulous bathtub. The breakfast is wonderful and Karen is so kind and accommodating. I highly recommend The Laindons.”

”Our room was clean, spacious and we loved the interior decor. We had a little trouble getting in, however the bar staff were very helpful in sorting that out. As it is above a pub, it was noisy until the pub closed.”

”We booked The Relais Cooden beach via Expedia particularly for its location and spa facilities. We had booked the "Cosy double room" because that was all that was left. On arrival we tried to book spa treatments but there were no available bookings during our three night stay. This was disappointing as there was no mention on the Expedia website that you needed to book in advance. Apparently, guests who booked directly with the hotel enjoyed free use of the spa whereas booking through Expedia...

”We had a wonderful stay. Every member of staff we met was super helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. The room was great with a fantastic view of the sea. Breakfast was really nice and great view of the sea also We would stay again, no hesitation!”

”The superior room was comfortable and led out to a huge quiet garden. But the decking and furniture outside were rotten. The bathroom had an unstable toilet and a difficult shower. Insulation was poor. Presentation on approach wasn’t great, with dead plants everywhere. Having said that, we had a great night’s sleep and staff were friendly and helpful. Location great.”

”This property is unbelievably beautiful and comfortable. Easy on street parking and close to the sea front and good restaurants. The hosts were welcoming and helpful. We highly recommend staying and experiencing Victorian living at its best.”
