âIt could have been great⊠the apartment is nicely updated and tidy, but DIRTY! The good news is, this is an easy fix and I hope the homeowner will take heed. The bathrooms and kitchen were dirty and full of the homeownerâs personal items-weird and gross! Additionally, the beds were like sleeping on a slabs of granite! We stayed two nights, and between the dirty bathrooms and uncomfortable beds, we couldnât have faced another night! â

âI have stayed at Hotel Sunrise on several occasions and for a hotel under $100 per night in San Francisco, it canât be beat. The location is relatively safe and highly walkable with many bars, restaurants, cafes, food stores within a half mile radius. The 16th street BART station is a 5 mins walk away. âThis hotel is like from a film noir movie! The feeling is that not too much has changed in this place after the 50s or so (except that thereâs wi-fi). Which is actually really cool, if you can live with the fact that the bathroom is down the hallway. I really liked the overall feel of the hotel.

âNot the fanciest hotel but itâs affordable. Area outside has a high volume of people living on the street and is noisy but feels safe while inside. Staff are friendly and bed was comfortable. Curtain rod had some maintenance issues and water pressure was terrible. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay though Iâd choose somewhere else if I had the budgetâ

âWe spent 3 nights here in the middle of San Fran. Everything we wanted to get to was walking distance (10-15 mins will hills) or easily accessible to transit. The owner was friendly and I loved the vintage elevator and staircase, truly felt like a nice historical setting while the rooms were modern enough with nice big windows. â
