”Overall The Grove was a great stay. The staff is friendly, rooms are clean/comfortable & their check in/check out is simple. I appreciate that they offer luggage drop off & they also had our room ready a hour sooner than check in. Street parking is difficult to find but I was able to get a spot after doing some loops. I would stay here for my next visit.”

”I had issues (twice...) with the codes not working when trying to enter my room which made me feel unsafe especially when this happened midnight. Reception is not open after 10pm so I received help via Whatsapp and staff was helpful. Other things that lower my rating were the metal beds that made a lot of noise. Also the whole floor only had 2 showers working. I have never had to wait to shower in hostel before. I wish toilets had more hooks to put towels/clothes in and rooms had mirrors....

”The room was spotless, the design and finishes were fantastic, and it was a peaceful escape from the busy streets of Castro in San Francisco. The staff were super helpful and got back to me quickly. Expedia had a $34 food credit on my reservation, but the hotel couldn’t use it, so the staff mentioned they’re looking into a refund.”

”First room had a stopped up toilet and non working TV, We were promptly moved to a great room—clean and comfy. Staff were great”

”We got corner room on 18th floor with great view towards the bay. I warmly recommend to pay some extra for that! Room was in great condition and clean. Bed was perfect with two set of pillows (soft & firm). Location was good, Nob hill cable car end station is just around the corner. However, for people in good condition it takes approx 30-40 minutes to walk to Fisherman’s Wharf. We were very happy to our two nights staying in this hotel.”

”Rooms were clean and included a very nice kitchen facility. The one missing item was Kleenex or equivalent tissues. It was a rainy evening, and the noise of traffic on a wet road was quite loud, albeit acting as white noise for getting to sleep. The staff was great. ”
