”Great 2 night stay in this lovely old inn. Friendly staff. Enjoyed the full breakfast and had dinner here both nights. Very close to the Beatrix Potter home which made visiting easy.”

”Beautiful views,so peaceful. Plenty of wildlife to watch and stunning walks and scenery. Property was very comfortable and had everything you needed. Highly recomended for a magical getaway.”

”Absolutely loved the location but a few things need addressing: Some kitchen utensils are no linger fit for purpose eg. Tin opener Chipped mug Kettle needs descaling Frying pan needs replacing Not enough soap/shower gel provided for a 5 night stay Sock left in the washing machine from previous occupants ”

”Our room was excellent very quiet with lovely comfortable bed, nice bed linen, towels and plenty of tea&coffee etc. Breakfast was delicious. We ate evening meals at the hotel which were homemade and great quality and reasonable price. New owners have taken over hotel just over 2 mths ago and we found them to be very friendly, welcoming and hard working. They're improving the hotel with new decor and have great attention to detail so I'm sure once finished it will be amazing. It's location is...

”We had a great stay in the Bridge. In particular the staff and the restaurant was excellent. Loads of parking in a very pretty place. Typical Lakes rooms that great in a proper old coaching inn. We would stay again.”

The general amenity of the Gateway is extremely pleasant and the staff have managed a relaxing and comfortable public area.”

”The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Evening meal and breakfast were very good. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom could do with some updating. Several significant cracks in the walls and evidence of water leaks around the heated towel rail and over bath shower head was leaking water out when running the bath taps. We only had one night so not really an issue for us.”
