”UNIQUE!!!!!?? in room 7 to turn the light on over the mirror__rotate the bulb!!! I liked that. Double aspect room. Excellent. Everything was spotless. All fixtures and fittings in the room were top quality and imacculately installed. Excellent breakfast. To nit- pic, the toilet was set too high off the floor. One less robust pillow would have been nice. There seemed to be no lighting to the front of the building, maklng it difficult to locate in the dark. I would definitely stay again.”

”Had a wonderful couple of nights at 8 Owls in Glastonbury. Lilija was super responsive and helpful, the room was clean and spacious, and the location next to the High Street and all the shops was great for us. Loved all of the Owls and other details around the property and the terrace at the top was a great bonus. Would definitely stay again.”

”Very warm welcome from host. Very easy to find, property lovely, comfortable with all amenities you could possibly need. Close drive to restaurants, supermarkets and places of beauty and tranquility. Stone's throw from Glastonbury. Totally recommend and would definitely stay again if in the area.”

”Room was clean today and comfortable. Stayed for 2 nights and ate both evenings. Not an extensive menu but the food was reasonably priced and tasty ”

”Good location for strolling around Langport with its cafes,independent shops , gardens and river walks . The library is very close with an outdoors area . We had a room in the courtyard , good in the heatwave . Sometimes had to park further away in town car park ..still free ,though in autumn 2026 may have to pay . Staff helpful .”

”Do not stay in the tower suite - they do not clean the room before you check in. Bugs in the bed, on the floor, up the walls. You have to keep the light off to stop the bugs swarming you. Hairs in the bed. Room is like a sauna and way too hot to sleep in, regardless of how many fans the hotel gave you. The shower handle also gets stuck so the water can run into the bedroom. Normal rooms are ok - better than a hot, dirty room with bugs.”

”Good quiet location on the edge of Bridgwater looking out onto fields. Busy pub mid-week in April when we were there with people sitting out enjoying the weather. Good dinner and breakfast.”

”The property was absolutely lovely. Perfect for what I was looking for. Close to the main town of Glastonbury as it took a short drive to get there. The accommodation was very clean. Towels and linen provided and kitchen equipment was very good. Bed was very comfy and I loved the lighting in there. Overall I enjoyed my stay. Would highly recommend and when I go back I would love to stay there again ”

”Very brief stay as travelled for the solstice but lovely property. Loved the history and little features. Nice garden also. Very peaceful and a lovely pub nearby thats walkable.”

”We arrived at Hawk house and were greeted by a laminated sign that explained how to check in. We called the number, but there was no response. We called the bell (several times) and eventually a young lady came to check us in. She showed us to our room and was helpful. The room was a twin room (we had booked a double). The bed linens had stains, and the windows was open. When we attempted to close the windows, it did not (it was almost like it had dropped). There was a hole in the wall by one of...

”Lovely pub, very spacious with nice lounge and outside area. Food really nice and rooms were perfect. Friendly staff and decent breakfast. Oh and nice beer and good value for money.”
