”We had a wonderful stay and the staff were incredibly accommodating. They were so helpful in arranging an early check-in for us and even found a room where we could get ready before attending a wedding, which made the whole day much less stressful. Everyone was friendly, professional, and went above and beyond to help. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and in a great location. We really appreciated the excellent service and would happily stay here again.”

”Hotel is a little dated but room and bathroom were very clean. Fan was provided so temperature was comfortable. Room spacious and will be great if you have dogs. Bed relatively comfortable. Minor gripe is that the shower gel was very watered down so no use really. Other than that it’s a good budget option for this location and I would definitely stay there again.”

”Very friendly greeting on arrival, super clean room with air conditioning which was very welcome during this very hot weather. Comfortable bed and good shower pressure. Good selection of food for breakfast and free parking. What’s not to like!”

”Lovely hospitality, nice food, nice room and very friendly staff. It might be an idea to inform the chef that a poached egg is not served with a lot of water swilling round the toast, otherwise marvellous. Convenient location”

”Gorgeous lodge that is really remote that it feels like a little private area. Very clean, close to other food places. Hot tub so lovely and warm. Nicely fenced off or closed off with hedges.”

”The room was clean and the complimentary beverages were well stocked. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. We ate a light bite in the bar which was good value for the money and tasty. We have stayed before and the air conditioning was not working, this problem has not been resolved and the air conditioning and bathroom fan did not work during this stay. This was a problem with temperatures of 30 degrees outside. The hotel is in a convenient location.”

”Clean room, comfortable bed with useful desk space and kettle for teas and coffee. friendly staff at check in and for breakfast, with parking off the main road. Overall easy and fair value for a 1 night stay.”

A special mention goes to Rachel at the bar, who was friendly, professional, and made our evenings enjoyable with her warm conversation. ”Great little find here! Lovely pub with great atmosphere, food fab with onsite restaurant. The room was really well presented and lovely decor. My room was facing south and west on the hottest day of the year, thankfully the staff provided a fan and there was a well stocked fridge in the room too. Breakfast was continental style in the room in a lovely hamper, plus yogurts, milk and orange juice in the fridge. Would go back again when in the area. Thanks team.”

”The Hotel was right next to the event that we went to. The bed was really comfortable, shower was great so the room was spot on. The staff were brilliant and friendly. Will definitely be booking for the same time next year. Price was brilliant as well.”

”Another fantastic stay at Moat House for my parents, who simply won't stay anywhere else when they're visiting the area! The whole team were phenomenal from start to finish.
