”Great stay, breakfast cooked to order. ”

The carpet was dusty (or at least not cleaned/vacuum cleaned) since the previous customer, nor was it cleaned between our 2 nights stay. What was much worse; in the room there was a stark moldy smell that did not go off even as we kept the windows from both sides of the room open for 2 full days & nights. ”Superb breakfast menu, excellent chef and warm welcome. Room was warm and bathroom was clean. Everything spoke of excellence. The staff were friendly and helpful. Thank you for a lovely stay and we will return. Housekeeping do an excellent job too.”

”Great location less than a mile away from the M5 and off the main road. Wonderful guy on reception who made us feel very welcome. The room was clean and tidy. We decided to go into nearby Thornbury to grab something to eat. The bed was really comfy and we had our buffet breakfast in the Marco Pierre White restaurant in the hotel which kept us full for the drive home.”

”Clean, comfortable accommodation and friendly staff. Shame there was no lunch/dinner food option (yet!) but good local recommendations provided. Would definitely stay again.”

”Very much pleased! The only thing we missed was a box of Kleenex in our room. The bed is comfy, the place is clean and nice, the breakfast was delicious and the owners are very pleasant. We would come again. ”

”Spent one night at the hotel. It is located in a cute small town. There is a good car park and the hotelarea is beautiful. The room was OK size, but could use an update. The pub was nice and the breakfast was good. Staff was friendly and helpful :)”

”We were not able to have breakfast at the allotted time as we had to be out at an event. However they were kind enough to leave us bacon sandwiches outside our room so we had something to eat”

”The building itself is lovely the location is nice, the bar was nice good selection of drinks and food in the evening was good.staff were lovely we stayed for one night just as a treat for my partners birthday however for what i actually paid for the room it was a slight disappointment the bathroom looked very dated there was a rubber bath matt on the shower floor wrapped in a ribbon that when unrolled had black mold spots all over it fair to say we did not use it we were in a small low ground...

If all Hotels had staff so nice every one would have no complaints . David and the receptionist staff brilliant and the lady in charge of the restaurant and breakfast room all staff First class .”
