”Another good stay. Hotel beats premier inn/travel lodge for value, comfort and style. Have been lucky to be upgraded to double room on both occasions we've stayed a couple of nights. Will probably return as we have family in the area and this seems to be consistently nice and handy. Lots of shopping and eating places within 10-15 minutes, good access from motorway.”

”The building could do with a refurb. However our room although tired was clean. There was no lift to use but the staff were more than happy to carry our bags upstairs. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Restaurant food was good. ”

What was much worse; in the room there was a stark moldy smell that did not go off even as we kept the windows from both sides of the room open for 2 full days & nights. ”Room 7 extractor fan not working. Both windows can’t be propped open. No mirror over desk so hairdryer cannot be plugged in near a mirror. Shower floods bathroom floor. All staff tried hard but were overstretched. At breakfast many things were only available if asked for. Evening meals not good value for money. This is not a 4 star hotel. ”

”Spent one night at the hotel. It is located in a cute small town. There is a good car park and the hotelarea is beautiful. The room was OK size, but could use an update. The pub was nice and the breakfast was good. Staff was friendly and helpful :)”

”Parking is first come first served. We had no issue. We did go around twice as we missed the entrance. Room was clean and comfortable. We would have liked a firmer mattress. Loved the wonky bits of the building. Breakfast was lovely. Good choice of everything and we asked if we wanted more. Great atmosphere in the bar, seems popular with locals. All staff were very friendly and chatty. ”

”All felt very dated. Walls and floors all paper thin, could hear everything from folks waking at 6am, with the addition of construction work right outside the window at 7:30am. Rooms, whilst clean, were basic and tired, and far too warm with no ability to adjust temperature. Pay and display parking (with no guest discount) is a bit odd too. Not sure what grants this a 4*, but it certainly isn’t. Get what you pay for. ”
