”From the moment that we entered, we were greeted warmly. EVERY staff member was upbeat and helpful. Wonderful room. The best part for us came at breakfast. My husband has celiac disease. My son and I ordered. The staff was knowledgeable regarding celiac disease. While he couldn't eat the food prepared in the kitchen, they at least gave him yogurts at no charge and didn't ”

”The level of friendliness and excellence started when I walked. I was confused because of the name change! Ella (sp?) at the front desk as well as the owner of the hotel welcomed me as if we were family, they’re absolutely wonderful people!, and our stay continued to get better. Our room was so fresh and clean, the bed was very comfortable, the breakfast was freshly made. The location was very convenient for is, and we will absolutely stay there the next time we’re in souther MD.”

”I cannot say enough good things about this property from all the wonderful surprises (stocked coffee bar, complimentary toiletries, plenty of towels for a family of 5) to it being even more spacious than the pictures made it seem! Overall, this was the perfect getaway as we spent a couple days enjoying the backyard and water and then spent a couple days sight seeing making the about 2 hour drive into DC and the short 20 minute drive to Washington's birthplace right in Montross.
