This was our first spa type hotel we have stayed at in the UK. Loved every minute of it. The pool and the saunas were wonderful, the staff very friendly and helpful, the room very comfortable, the bed excellent. Breakfast was very good, too, especially the sausages were delicious. It was only about 20 mins from Manchester airport. From now on if we need to stay close to the airport, the Mere would be our first choise. Ticked all the boxes, top marks.

"Paid for a room with King size room but got put in a double, with a shower/bath that wouldn't turn temperature down and it was stuck on a high temperature."

"We loved the hotel, there was nothing to fault (we had a free upgrade). It was a special anniversary so everything was beyond our expectation. Everything was tastefully designed. The room was beautiful, well lit, well furnished and the bed was so comfortable. There was a large bathroom and walk in ..."
