Charming apartment in the historic center of Como (Apartment Piazza Roma)

Located inside a historic building right in the center, in the quiet area adjacent to the Duomo, APARTMENT PIAZZA ROMA is the perfect place to visit beautiful Como on foot, starting from the heart of the city!

This lovely one-bedroom apartment welcomes you into a living room, furnished with a comfortable sofa and a dining table for 3, a relaxing corner for studying or working, or reading a good book after sightseeing Como and its surroundings. The sofa also becomes a comfortable single bed for the night (Please note: The sofa bed will not be prepared as a bed for your arrival, as we deem it proper to use it as a sofa during the day. You will find the bed linen, pillows and blankets in the wardrobe/shelf closest to the sofa.). Next to it, there is the compact kitchen, complete with everything you need to prepare lunches and dinners just like at home, while watching Piazza Roma from the window! The romantic master bedroom is the perfect nest for watching a movie snuggled up. A bathroom with shower concludes the apartment. 

Please note: the building has no elevator; the apartment is on the 2nd floor, reachable through a few flights of stairs.



Quality bedding, towels and a courtesy kit are provided. 

We also leave a gift basket with some necessary items for your first breakfast.

Any commercial activity within the apartment is prohibited. 



The apartment has no parking available. Guests can easily reach the apartment by using the city's public transportation, or by paying parking outside the walled city.

What's nearby: 

The location of APARTMENT PIAZZA ROMA allows you to visit the entire city center on foot. In 2 minutes you can reach Piazza Cavour, the largest square in Como, in front of which you can take the Navigazione Lago di Como boat and reach the most famous places on the lake (Cernobbio, Blevio, Torno, Laglio, Argegno, Menaggio, Bellagio, Varenna). In 2 minutes you can also reach Piazza Duomo and its Broletto, and shopping streets such as Via Vittorio Emanuele. Other squares to visit are only a 5/7-minute walk away, such as Piazza Volta and Piazza San Fedele, the latter having become in recent years a major meeting point for the city's evening life with its many restaurants and bars.

Also on foot, or by renting city bikes, one can reach Villa Olmo and its park by taking the picturesque lakefront walk from the Hangar, and Villa Geno by taking the lakeside promenade Viale Geno. At the beginning of Viale Geno is also the Funicular railway station to reach Brunate and its lighthouse.



How to arrive: 

By car, from the A9 motorway take the Como Centro exit and drive along Via Pasquale Paoli, Via Napoleona and Viale Innocenzo to reach the center, or take the Como Lago exit and drive along Via per Cernobbio and Via Borgovico Nuova.

Park in the blue parking lots (paid from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.) or in the city's parking garages (Autosilo Parcheggio Centro Lago, Autosilo Valduce, etc.).

By train, from Como San Giovanni station take bus C70/ C10/C28/N4 and get off at "Como - Lungolago Trento" stop: in 5 minutes walk you will reach the apartment. Or, from the station walk down to "Como, S. Ronchetto" stop and take bus N1/N6/11 and get off at "Como, Piazza Cavour" stop and walk 3 minutes to the apartment. Walk from the station to the apartment in 12 minutes.
