”Room was basic but clean and orderly. The beds were a bit hard but good enough for a nights sleep. Lights in the room operated on a timer rather than a switch, not sure why you can’t turn them on and off with a switch to save power, but that seems like a YHA quirk rather than the hostel itself. Staff were friendly and engaging, and facilities were good to make breakfast. There are no towels or soap so make sure to bring basic supplies for as long as your there. overall had a great stay.”

”Lovely cottage in a great location within walking distance to the town. Had everything that you would need for a nice stay. My only negative in the cottage would be the pillows. They really need to invest in new ones. If you have a large car I would not recommend this cottage. It is very difficult to get a large car in front of the cottage. A small car is fine. This is due to where 2 other cottages park, it is very difficult to swing around and get through the very small gap. A visit to...

”We stayed in early June for a week. The location is great, very close to the town centre and the walls of the castle only being yards away. It is uphill from the town centre however, if you walking or breathing difficulties, it could be a problem. We have only stayed in a cottage once before. Last year in Cornwall, unfortunately it's the only reference point to judge and similar price for the same week last year. This cottage was not the same quality. Size was similar but quality of fittings...

”Only spent one night, but room was wonderful. Even with the heat wave, the room was cool, and they had a fan in the room. Large clean room, big bathroom and clean. Wonderful restaurant and bar. Great breakfast. Only 7-10 minute walk to all the shops, beach and promenade. Wish I could have stayed longer. Everyone there was super nice.”
