”The staff were very friendly and accommodating! Clean room and comfortable bed! The only cons, that were noticed, was the sink in our bathroom was very slow to drain and the bathroom door did not remain closed. Would definitely stay here again if we visit this area.”

”This hotel is going through renovations and the walls are incredibly thin. The hotel rooms are old and outdated. The front desk staff - in particular Laura charged my card a damage fee because she said the tv was too loud while we were gone to the casino and it cause both rooms next to us to leave the hotel. She lied. She is a racist. On my form to sign for the room she asked my nationality. I asked her what was that about ? Her reply was I was just being funny. I should have left then. We have...

”Wow- a real treat of a cabin in a great location. Warm welcome with friendly staff The hot tub was great, overlooking creek on a back patio. Property was kept up well and very clean. Cutely decorated. The kids loved it. Totally would stay here again! Great find!!”

”Expedia let us make reservations several months ago for Super Bowl Weekend but did not coordinate with the owners of Newfound Lodge as the hotel was closed for the season. Expedia should not be making reservations for a hotel that is closed and also should let customers know that it wasn’t going to be open. I don’t blame Newfound Lodge but this needs to be fixed! ”

”I was very sad to see Cherokee go down so much since I was there as a kid. Although I’m grateful for the job that it brought to the area having the casino it has really made. Everything else looks so rundown. Shops were falling apart. people were very nice everywhere we went. I probably would not stay at this hotel again although the staff was so sweet.”

”This motel is in a great location for walking around Bryson City. The staff that we interacted with were kind and helpful. Our room was good with enough space to move around and a comfortable bed. The bathroom was relatively updated but kind of small and I can't imagine a larger person being able to get into the shower. And there was no way to just have the light on without the noisy fan. All in all though it was a good affordable place to stay while we explored the area.”
