Unfortunately it was quite hot due to it being on the second floor and after a string of hotter than usual days, not helped by the fact that the heated towel rail (from the hot water system) couldn't be shut off. But a great old pub to stay in all the same. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant.”

”Lovely hotel, conveniently located just off the M5, yet very accessible to reach the city centre by bus. Ample parking, which was also reasonably priced. The staff were super helpful giving us directions to get to the bus stop (just across the road) and which numbers we needed to look out for to reach the city centre. Breakfast was lovely, with a huge variety of food. The lift was a bit slow so we ended up using the stairs instead as we were on the first floor. Modern and super clean look. ...

”Staff efficient but robotic and lacked empathy. Bedroom tired and the lighting was inadequate when applying make-up. Dim lights might be romantic but a dressing table with a proper lamp so you can see what you look like is essential! ”The B&B Tim and Ken run is one of the best accommodation experiences I've had in Southern England. Stylishly and sensibly renovated rooms with Scandinavian decor, ensuite amenities included, in an intimate environment – meaning that you won't see people coming and going all the time. This is to say that the atmosphere is relaxed. The breakfast is superb with plenty of choices (I'd go for the homemade bagels). Your hosts will also go that extra mile for you.
