Matkat – Country Meadows

1. There was a long check in line and only two people working the front counter on a Friday of a holiday weekend. 2. The employee that checked me in said he would "make sure I got a good view". Room 5003 has a view of the entrance/drive way by the lobby. The view happens to be the cars driving in/out and directly across from other rooms/building. 3. Wallpaper was peeling off the wall in the bathroom, mirror was dirty with toothpaste/water splashes, and I found a lovely half melted ice cream cone in the fridge. 4. We were jolted awake at 6:30AM by the sounds of leaf blowers right outside the room. I texted the Hilton phone number contact and let them know that this was not cool. Imelda apologized and said hope our stay improves, let them know if they can assist. I said yeah, tell them to stop leaf blowing! Jouana said, no can do. Has to be done before it gets too hot. So this means we will NOT be going back to sleep. I grabbed the room phone and called the front desk because "sorry, that sucks" is not good enough. It rang and rang and rang and rang. I used my cell phone and called the resort, lo and behold, Imelda answers. She comped the resort fee. We left early since we wouldn't be getting any sleep. 5. The cherry on top, as we were loading our stuff into the car, a lovely IV tube/drip was right next to it. Gross. Biohazard.
