”Lovely room, and good food cooked well”

”Fantastic stay between Bath & Stonehenge. Surrounding towns provide tonnes of history, monuments and pleasant hills. Great carpark and good showers. It was an unusual hot night and the room had a fan!!! Great staff, I recommend.”

”Een mooie locatie in een historisch pand. Maar kamers zijn modern en comfortabel ingericht. Ruime kamer, voldoende ruimte voor bagage. Nette schone badkamer. Heerlijk a la carte ontbijt. Diner was ook heerlijk. Geen doorsnee pubfood, maar een mooie menukaart. Gezellig dorpsterras buiten. Kamer heeft geen airco, als het erg warm is kan dit een punt van aandacht zijn.”

”Everything was lovely, especially the staff! In the middle of a heatwave, AC would have been nice but that’s Mother Natures fault. Food was excellent, parking was easy and the surroundings were beautiful! I definitely recommend for a taste of old world charm.”

”The staff were very friendly, and made us feel at home! The room was cozy and the view was beautiful, though the road outside was rather noisy, but it dies down after dark. I was hooked on the Cotswold Stout while we were there, and the town absolutely won our hearts! Highly recommended The Bear if you're around Marlborough!”

”I can't really review this hotel because we didn't end up staying here. The hotel had no air conditioning and it was 97 degrees. I am older and can not stand the heat. The young lady that waited on me was great she was checking to see that under the circumstances they could refund me for the 4 night stay that I had reserved. I never heard back from anyone. I would like to talk to someone about this,”

”Everything about this charming countryside retreat was what we hoped for and more. The staff was a welcoming and alsways there to help. The food was delicious and better than we expected. Our room generously sized, modern and comfortably appointed. (We did request a fan though as there’s no air conditioning, and the staff was quick to oblige.)
