”Room ( i was in No 2 ) was in good decorative order . However there was a Green light permanently on all night by the door that could not be covered / turned off . Additionally when the Water Tank in the bathroom decided to replenish ( quite randomly - not after use ) it sounded like a Helicopter taking off . Very loud , and not conducive to a good nights sleep . ”

”Superb location and venue. Delightful pub with top cask ale and the food was sublime. Breakfast was fabulous. Staff were highly friendly and attentive. The only negative was the electric shower which was very temperamental and low pressure. A real treat though overall.”

”Location is great with lots of free parking options nearby including EV chargers. The room and bathroom were spacious, clean and warm. On the downside was the fact that our room was just above the pub and on Saturday night was very loud until midnight and we couldn’t sleep. So make sure to ask for a room on higher floor. Regarding the breakfast one day we had the eggs Benedict which were not good as the hollandaise sauce was too watery, scrambled and bland. The 2nd day we had the English...

”Easily the best accommodation of a four-day stay in Northumberland. Everything in the Whittling House makes your trip a little bit better, from lovely staff to beautiful decor, homemade shortbread for the rooms to the comfy armchairs in the bar. Definitely worth the more premium price!”

”Lovely place to visit and stay but very little parking. Room was cold on arrival due to all room windows being open . Room itself was clean and tidy. Breakfast was tasty and of a good standard and variety. Would visit again. ”

”The Wizards Chambers is a lovely, unique, clean place to stay. If you are a Harry Potter fan it's a great place to stay. Parking is easy, a folder with all the information you require is at hand and you are right in the centre of beautiful Alnwick. However, we wish we were notified, about the building work next door, so we could decide if we stayed here or not. Work is permitted from 8-5 Mon-Fri and 8-1 on Saturday. ”
