”Walked in room wasn’t ready offered to sit in the bar and wait. It was like going back to the 80s Butlins style. Dated hotel nothing warm and friendly and very dated & gloomy reception area was clinical and hospital like! Walked through the bar and out of the exit. Got into car and didn’t go back. Such a shame as had booked for a surprise for my husbands birthday. So dissatisfied. People who say first impressions count well this did and disappointed! Lost the money I had paid! Have travelled so...

”Cosy room. Clean bedding but the mattress sagged towards the middle which might have made 2 people sleeping in it uncomfortable”

”Staff are excellent, helpful and friendly. The rooms are a good size and clean. Lovely stay. The only thing I would say is bring your own devices to watch TV as the TVs don't work well 😔”

”Fan went off every 20 seconds during the night, wasn’t aircon as that was switched off so not sure what it was but kept me awake all night. Door didn’t lock properly when vacating the room. Tried about ten times. Eventually got it to lock, but when I was inside the room had to put a chair against the door as I was unsure if it was locked from outside as I was a lone female traveller. Normally stay here for work but won’t be staying again. ”

”Clean room, staff are really lovely, front of bar lee was so chatty and very good at his job, We had breakfast and wow plenty of choice and ver tasty. Plenty of parking. ”

”A very tired hotel, rooms & spa facilities. Bedrooms are in desperate need of refurbishment. Our sink & bath didn’t drain. The hand soap dispenser didn’t work. The spa is exceptionally tired. Mould around the sinks. Breakfast had a good selection but it had all been sat out for some time. Overall, a disappointing stay I wouldn’t recommend it. ”
